Biography:


Born in the U.S. Studied at Swarthmore Colege, Pennsyla\vania (B.A. Political Science-International Relations) and U.C.L.A. (M.Sc. and C.Phil. Political Science. Came to Nigeria 1973 to marry Prof. M.O. Chijioke. 3 sons, during which took P.G.Dip. Lib. at U. Ibadan and began work as Technical Services Librarian at UN Enugu Campus. Followed husband back to UNN 1978, where became Head of Reference, UNN Library, then to Kenya, where consulting and served as Library Director, United States International Library, Nairobi Campus. Back to UNN 1983, taught U.S. History until 1985 appointment as lecturer new Dept. of Library Science19 to U.S. to begin doctoral programme at Columbia University, which shortly thereafter closed the department. 1989-200, Curator of the Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College, then Director of Hege Library, Guilford College to the end of 2008. Return to Nigeria 2009, became University Librarian, Godfrey Okoye University and Chief Librarian, Institution of Ecumenical Education 10 Feb. 2010. Also now ICT coordinator of GO Uni and overall coordinator of library and ICT services in the Godfrey Okoye Group of Institutions. Active in family affairs, Nigerwives and the Religious Society of Friends in Nigeria.
