Ebuka Elias Igwebuike holds a PhD degree in English from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies, Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu. He is a fellow of American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS)/ African Humanities Program and a member of African Literature Association and International Sociological Association (Language and Society Research Group). His research interests lie in (critical) discourse analysis, media and conflict discourses, language use in folk music. His papers have appeared in journals and books such as Papers in English and Linguistics (PEL); Language, Gender and Politics and Studies in Slang and Slogans, IGI Global, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Linguistik online, Journal of Language Aggression and Conflict (John Benjamins) etc.
